Albany Rifle and Pistol Club

About 10 minutes north of Brownsville, the Saddle Butte facility consists of the Main Range up to 200 yards, clubhouse, small bore indoor range, classrooms and the North Range with seven covered shooting bays for pistols and shotguns. Visit them at www.arpc.info

Foster Reservoir
Foster Reservoir is an artificial lake created by Foster Dam on the South Santiam River near the city of Sweet Home, Oregon. The reservoir is approximately 3.5 miles long. Edgewater RV Resort and Marina recently opened for your visiting pleasure.  Also 165 campsites are available at Sunnyside County Park.

Geocaching

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. There are nearly 2000 listed for the Brownsville zip code alone!

Holleywood Ranch

Featured on the Travel Channel, Holleywood Ranch has some of the highest grade petrified wood in the northwest.  Located approximately 13 miles east of Brownsville on Hwy 228, come dig for your personal treasure. 


Mercher Park
The little plunge pools of the Calapooia River offer a prime attraction for swimmers and visitors to this picturesque area.  The tall Douglas and white fir trees offer shade for picnickers in the summer sun. McKercher Park is located about 4 miles east of Brownsville on Hwy 228 and providers picnicking, swimming and fishing.

Oregon Old West Shooting Society
Founded in 1989, this is Oregon's original Cowboy Action Shooting Club. Visit them at www.oowss.com

Oregon Sprint Boat Races
Like Nascar on water, join race fans while JetSprint boat racers navigate a small V8 powered jet boat through a three foot deep track at speeds up to 80MPH. Visit for a full schedule of events at www.oregonjetsprint.com

Pioneer Park

Brownsville's own Pioneer Park has many entities for the wearied traveler or day tripper. From a leisurely game of horseshoes, to a swim in the river, to a fantastic play structure for the restless child to stretch their legs, you'll find something to do in the 26-acre park.

Willamette Valley Birding Trail

Brownsville is one of the stops along the Santiam Loop section of the Willamette Valley Birding Trail.  It is also the home to Western Meadowlark, Grasshopper Sparrow and Oregon Vesper Sparrow.  In the winter, you can also find Prairie Falcon and Bald Eagles.
