Calapooia Croquet Our town's Croquet Court is an invitation to experience the sedate, but intensely earnest Victorian battle of the wicket, the ball, and the mallet. It's chess on grass. Next to Pioneer Park, down by the Calapooia River, a lush green lawn has been developed amidst an old orchard of huge walnut and hazelnut trees. That's our court, The Calapooia Croquet Court sponsored by the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, everyone welcome and all equipment is provided.

Regular play is held on Sunday afternoons, 2:00pm until dark (what could be more Victorian?) and Wednesday evenings 6:00pm until dusk.

To arrange a special event for your organization, reunion, club, wedding, etc. send Rod Fielder (the Grand Poobaugh de Croquet) an email message at sara@limo.net. Or you can call him at (541) 466-5589.
