The 2010 Brownsville’s downtown
open house “Home for the Holidays” will be kicked off
Friday, Dec. 3rd with the Festival of Trees, which will be held in the Family Bible Fellowship Hall at 339 N. Main St.
Over 20 trees will be up for grabs during
the Festival of Trees silent auction. Many local businesses
are sponsoring trees by purchasing the decorations and providing
the decorators. The trees will be available beginning Friday,
Dec. 3rd from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for bidding. The auction will
continue Saturday, Dec. 4th beginning at 9 a.m. and closing
at 3 p.m. Come down and bid on a tree to help decorate your
home or business this holiday season.
On Saturday, Dec. 4th, come stroll the sidewalks
of historic downtown and enjoy the holiday season decorations.
Merchants offer tasty samples of holiday fare and some offer
special holiday prices. Carolers and musicians liven up the
scene.
As it is each year, the Moyer House will
be decorated for the holidays and open daily from Dec. 25 to
Jan. 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop by and bring your holiday
visitors with you!
