The Linn County Historical Museum located in downtown Brownsville is a must-visit. The knowledgable volunteers and plentiful displays will keep you occupied for hours, learning about the first Oregon pioneers, the native people of Linn County, the filming of the movie "Stand By Me" in Brownsville, and more. All ages are sure to be entertained and impressed. Also shop their souvenir and gift section.

While downtown, also be sure to make an appointment and head over to the Moyer House, about one block away, to see a fantastic piece of historical architecture with a past. It was built by a very influential couple in 1881 and is staged in its original state, with time-appropriate furnishings and elaborate paintings and stenciling throughout.
