Sharing Hands: Supporting Central Linn Families, One Need at a Time
Based in Brownsville, Sharing Hands is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving families across Central Linn County through food assistance, education, and community support programs.
Each month, the Sharing Hands Food Bank distributes groceries to more than 250 families, relying entirely on the generosity of donors and volunteers. Just down the street, the Sharing Hands Thrift Store (107 W. Bishop Way, off Hwy 228) offers clothing, home goods, books, toys, and more—every purchase directly supports the food bank.
Sharing Hands also runs several other vital programs:
-
Snack Pack Program: Provides weekend snacks for qualifying students during the school year.
-
Parents & Pals: Offers parenting education to help prevent child abuse.
-
Christmas Greeters: Delivers food and holiday gifts to low-income children and seniors.
With groceries, parenting support, and holiday cheer, Sharing Hands strengthens our community in countless ways. Donations of time, money, or thrift store items all make a meaningful difference. Please consider supporting their work however you can.
